On 5 January 2011, at The Vissai Group’s headquarter, a solemn Gala dinner was held to warmly welcome customers as well as agencies and partners that cooperate and support the nationwide development of brand “The Vissai” with the theme “Gratitude & Meeting”.
More than 1,500 agents from the North, Central and South of Vietnam gathered at the gala. More than 500 agents were awarded with many valuable gifts and artifacts. Many other agents received awards valued from VND 10 million to VND 50 million.
In 2010, the world economy was put under a lot of pressure and unpredictable process of globalization. The constantly rising fuel price, the scare supply of goods as well as the dizzying escalation of exchange rates and gold prices badly affected a number of Vietnamese manufacturers and exporters. Domestic consumption didn’t show any clear progress despite stimulus packages. Thanks to the attention of the authorities and industries, officers and employees of THE VISSAI stood up to the challenges and constantly improve labor productivity with higher sales month after month, rehabilitate workers’ psychology as well as recruit workers and create jobs for over 1,600 workers in the locality and vicinity.
Especially in the year, the Group signed a series of big long term export contracts with a value up to nearly 100 million dollars. In the last 3 months of the year, with an export of more than 300,000 tons of clinker, the revenue increased more than 10 million dollars, let alone domestic consumption.
2010 is also an outstanding year marking an incredible development of The Vissai when they officially became the ownership of Huong Duong Cement Plant with brand name “POMIHOA”. Earlier, the Government and Ha Nam Provincial People’s Committee had agreed to hand over the Vinashin Ha Nam Cement Plant Project which is now known as Vissai Ha Nam Cement Company to The Vissai. Up to now, the Group’s capacity is up to 6 million tons/year.
“In 2011, THE VISSAI will continue to promote the export market, maintain and deeply boost the domestic market, improve the techniques to enhance productivity, stabilize quality in all the factories which have been operating in the Group and strive to produce the first products of The Vissai Ha Nam Cement Plant at the end of 2011.”, said Mr. Hoang Manh Truong, the Group’s President at the conference. Also on this occasion, on behalf of The Vissai Group’s employees, the Group’s President sent their gratitude to all the other agencies in the country which had actively cooperated and supported the Vissai in recent years and believed that with such efforts, the Vissai brand would fly higher and further to truly become a strong brand contributing to the development of the locality where there were the Group’s subsidiaries as well as the general development of the stationed in fixing as well as the overall economic development of the country.
