The Vissai: 500,000 tons of cement exported to European customers
(TVS) On 26 March 2011, the Liberian Springwood vessel with tonnage of 3.7 thousands tons shipping The Vissai cement to export to European customers was docked and lined up at Hon Gai port (Quang Ninh).
Earlier on 15 February 2011, a commercial contract between The Vissai (Vietnam) and Pegase Group (Switzerland) on the export of a consignment of more than 500,000 tons of cement branded The Vissai had been signed at the headquarter of The Vissai Cement Group.
Thereby, Pegase of Switzerland would import cement 40 PCB bag from The Vissai (Vietnam) with a specific amount of 50,000 tons/month. The shipping time started from March 2011 and ended in December 2011 for the first period. The total contract value was up to nearly 30 million U.S. dollars. This is the largest cement export contract in Vietnam at the moment.
This contract also marks the rapid growth of The Vissai Cement brand, the brand that has surpassed many other famous cement brands to step by step integrate and conquer international markets.
In August 2010, The Vissai Group and PeakWard (Hong Kong) implemented the export package contract of 1.2 million tons of clinker branded The Vissai to Bangladesh market. By signing the export contract of 500,000 tons of cement with Pegase (Switzerland), The Vissai has been becoming the largest clinker and cement exporter in the country at present.
