A preeminent Master Program

The Master Program of Finance, Banking and Insurance (Vietnam and Southeast Asia) is an associated training program between the International School – Vietnam National University, Hanoi and the University of Nantes, the Republic of France.

The program has been offering opportunities in career and ways to get promotions for students by equipping the most systematic, advanced and latest knowledge as well as intensive and modern skills in the fields of finance, banking and insurance.

The International School – Vietnam National University, Hanoi – one of the leading public training institutions in term of international associated training program has successfully established and developed tens of undergraduate and postgraduate training programs in English, Russian, French and Chinese.

In term of postgraduate degree, the International School has developed associated training programs at master degree with many prestigious universities all over the world. One of them that demonstrate dominant advantages is the Program of Finance, Banking and Insurance (Vietnam and Southeast Asia) associated with the University of Nantes (the Republic of France).

The program lasts for 18 months and opens at weekends. This timetable is appropriate for those who want to take in-service training with bachelor’s degree of finance, banking, insurance and some majors in economics and management. The recruitment is taken by form of direct admission and interview. After the course, the students shall be granted with the Master’s degree (M2) of Finance, Banking and Insurance (Vietnam and Southeast Asia) by the University of Nantes.

“Our program is designed basing on the knowledge and the experience of training accumulated through years of the Institute of Economics and Management, University of Nantes in combination with the experience summarized by experts through practices in the fields of finance, banking and insurance in Vietnam and Southeast Asia area. The program will equip the students with the most systematic, advanced and latest knowledge as well as intensive and modern skills in the fields of finance, banking and insurance”, said Prof. Yves Perraudeau, the Director of the Institute of Economics and Management, University of Nantes. These blocks of knowledge include the modern theories and models in economics, financial-banking management and risk management; the traditional and derivative financial instruments employed in business and risk management; trends of development of the financial system in the region and all over the world…Also, during the program, the students can update the latest information about the legal framework, the rules and regulations to govern financial institutions together with the skills to deal with statistical data that are being applied in the country as well as in the world. In the program, the financial-banking institutions shall be considered as the enterprises in business. Therefore, the students will be provided with intensive knowledge of management (human resource management, organization management, strategies for development, marketing and trade promotion, cost management and internal control) that supports not only those working in banking sector but also for those in general management.

The program has been successfully developed in Vietnam and “exported” to Cambodia Royal University of Law and Economics.
